Pricing

The figures below are the fee rules SeatMine charges. Complimentary tickets carry no service fee.

Pricing

The math is the value prop.

Most platforms scale their fee with your ticket price and take it on every seat in the order. SeatMine charges the patron one capped service fee — and your program receives 100% of face value, transferred to your own Stripe account on every order.

Percentage-based platforms

The usual model

5% + 75¢

per ticket, and climbing

  • The fee scales with your ticket price — the more your patrons pay, the more the platform takes.
  • Nearly $3 skimmed off a single $40 ticket.
  • Every ticket in the order pays the full fee — a family of four pays it four times.

One capped service fee

Built for the way theatres sell

3.5% + 49¢

per ticket, paid by the patron — the 49¢ caps at 3 tickets an order

  • You keep 100% of face value. A $15 ticket puts $15.00 in your account; a $50 ticket puts $50.00 — to the penny.
  • Processing is included in the patron's fee. Nothing is passed to your box office: $0 monthly, $0 setup, $0 per order.
  • The per-order cap means families aren't penalized for buying together — the 49¢ flat part stops at 3 tickets no matter how many they buy.

Tickets priced $3.00 or less carry a flat 50¢ fee instead. Free tickets are always completely free — no fee, no card. If an order is refunded, the service fee is refunded in full — we never keep fees on refunds. On tickets $5 and up, the patron's fee comes out lower than the typical percentage-platform fee.

The same arithmetic your patrons see at checkout — computed by the exact code that charges the fee.

One $10 ticket

3.5% × $10.00 = $0.35

+ 49¢ × 1 = $0.49

$0.84 service fee

The patron pays $10.84. Your program receives $10.00.

Family of four, $12 tickets

3.5% × $48.00 = $1.68

+ 49¢ × 3 (capped) = $1.47

$3.15 service fee

They pay $51.15. Your program receives $48.00 — about 79¢ a ticket, versus $1.35 each under the usual 5% + 75¢ model.
